Just three games into the 2022-2023 season, Max was averaging 24.3 points per game with 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 steals. In the game against DSST-Byers, he had 28 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. His performance combined with his work ethic is why Max was chosen as the November-December 2022 high school Athlete of the Month.
