Zeke Bote ’25 had a great May on the diamond, resulting in him being named as a May Athlete of the Month. He produced at the plate, threw a no-hitter against Manual and served as a catcher as well. He hit .397 for the season, led the team with 25 hits and stole eight bases. Also had a win and a save on the mound.
Coach Mark Knudson said Zeke is an outstanding infielder who sacrificed playing time there to catch and pitch for us as well. He was a Team MVP and earned second-team All-Metro League honors.
Knudson said that Zeke exemplifies the PRA Way by taking on every challenge he’s faced while remaining positive in the face of adversity. “Zeke leads by example, never hangs his head, always meets challenges head on and wants to do what’s best for the team,” Knudson said. Zeke is dedicated to his game, both performing well at team practices and spending his private time working individually on his baseball skills.
“Zeke is an outstanding infielder who sacrificed playing time there to catch and pitch for us as well. He was a Team MVP and earned second-team All-Metro League honors. His baseball knowledge is outstanding, well above his age. He has a tremendous future ahead.”
